Turkey to allot $50 mln for Ukraine to cover budget deficit - Poroshenko
Turkey has provided $10 million worth of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and will allot another $50 million for Ukraine to cover its budget deficit, says Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
"We are also grateful for providing $10 million worth of humanitarian aid to our state," Poroshenko told journalists following negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kyiv on Friday.
Turkey has also decided to allocate $50 million for Ukraine to cover the budget deficit, Poroshenko said.
"I would also like to thank [Turkey] for the decision on issuing a $50 million loan to Ukraine to cover the national budget deficit," he said.
Erdogan said Turkey would allocate $10 million for displaced persons who had to leave the warzone in Donbas.
"A decision has been made on allotting $10 million precisely as a donation for meeting the displaced persons' demands," he said.
