Over two dozen Russians eliminated in Pokrovsk in 24 hours, no encirclement of AFU units - General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported on measures to block the enemy, who is trying to infiltrate and accumulate in the city of Pokrovsk (Donetsk region), and to counter attempts by enemy infantry groups to gain a foothold in the city.

"The defense of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration continues. There is no encirclement of our units and units… In Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting strike and search operations. In particular, assault units of the 425th Assault Battalion, SBS (drone unit) operators, combined groups of the Special Operations Forces, Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, and the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are involved. Military units defending the city have been reinforced," the report says.

Over the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian servicemen eliminated 26 occupiers in the Pokrovsk area, another 64 invaders were wounded, destroyed or damaged 58 enemy infantry shelters in the city and its surroundings.

"In total, since the beginning of the week, the losses of Russian troops in the Pokrovskoye direction amounted to: 249 occupiers (of which 159 were irretrievable), seven UAV control points, 26 units of automobile and motorcycle equipment, a tank and an armored combat vehicle. At the same time, work is underway to strengthen the defense flanks of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, and to secure and protect logistics routes," the report says.

The continuation of the Dobropillia operation northwest of Pokrovsk is also reported. "Over the past day, Ukrainian assault units advanced from 100 m to 700 m in separate directions. In total, during the operation, as of November 5, 2025, 188.9 square kilometers were liberated, and 249.9 square kilometers were cleared of enemy sabotage groups," the General Staff said.
