Infrastructure and trains for Air Express will be ready by 2016 - Kaskiv
Infrastructure for the rail link between Kyiv and Boryspil International Airport will be ready by 2016 and rolling stock will be bought, the head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Management of Ukraine, Vladyslav Kaskiv, has told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on the provisions of cabinet resolution No. 888.
"We have actually started construction – Ukrzaliznytsia is laying networks, it has created a construction site. We have achieved a great victory - persuaded our Chinese partners of the need to use Ukrainian rolling stock," he said.
According to Kaskiv, the production of trains for the Air Express project will begin soon.
"We will definitely manage to do it on time, implement the schedules, I do not see any threats to it," he said.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its decree No. 888 obliged the agency in 2013-2015 to acquire up to five trains with up to 500 seats for the rail link between Kyiv and Boryspil International Airport.
