Russians step up assaults in Pokrovsk industrial zone – 7th Rapid Response Corps

The liquidation of Russians in the northern part of Pokrovsk is ongoing, the most intense fighting is currently in the industrial zone. The enemy's infiltration routes to this area are under the control of the military, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.

The corps emphasized that the enemy continues to increase the number of assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Last week, the Russians attacked Ukrainian units 132 times, which is almost 20% more than the previous week.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military is stopping attempts by the Russians to gain a foothold in the high-rise buildings of Pokrovsk, which the enemy wants to use as dominant heights. Such counteraction allows other units of the Defense Forces to carry out tasks to clear the enemy in the city.

At the same time, the unit emphasized that the enemy is trying to concentrate efforts in other areas of the city and on the western outskirts for further advancement towards Hryshyne, which is northwest of Pokrovsk.

"The Ukrainian military is holding back the enemy, in particular, thanks to a multi-lane defense system. Logistics in Hryshyn allows for the fulfillment of specified tasks," the report says.

The Myrnohrad defensive operation is also continuing. The corps assured that logistics are being provided, and food and ammunition supplies are being replenished on time.

"The defense forces manage to eliminate the enemy on the approaches to the city, preventing the enemy from penetrating into the city," the Defense Ministry reported.
