Naftogaz sees net loss fall of 86% in H1 2015
National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy saw a fall of 86.3% or UAH 28.167 billion in net loss in January-June 2015, to UAH 4.468 billion, the company's press service has reported.
According to the non-consolidated financial report of the company, its net revenue grew by 49.1% or UAH 17.641 billion, to UAH 53.555 billion.
Gross profit in H1 2015 totaled UAH 6.687 billion compared to UAH 3.68 billion of gross loss in January-June 2014.
"The key factors that influenced the company's performance were the following losses: UAH 12.5 billion of net loss from exchange rate differences; UAH 8.9 billion of loss from sale of natural gas to households; and UAH 1.9 billion of loss linked to illegal consumption of gas in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone," reads the report.
The losses were partially compensated thanks to operations from transportation of natural gas and its sale to industrial enterprises.
