Naftogaz reschedules repayment of UAH 18.2 bln in loans from 2015 to 2016-2020 – audited report

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in 2015 prolonged the deadline to repay UAH 18.238 billion on loans due in 2015, and repayment was rescheduled for 2016-2020, the company said in an audited consolidated annual report which was published on Tuesday.

In 2015, Naftogaz also received a new loan worth UAH 554 million due in 2016 for the restructuring of its obligations to other banks, which were to be paid in 2015.

The company said that from the end of 2014 to the report release date, it repaid loans in the amount of UAH 9.016 billion.

As of the end of 2014, Naftogaz's total loan debt amounted to UAH 61.008 billion, including UAH 26.188 billion in long-term borrowings from banks and UAH 34.274 billion in short-term borrowings. All of the said debts were secured by collateral or guarantees.

Naftogaz also said that during 2015 the book value of the overdue debts was lowered from UAH 939 million to UAH 710 million.

Naftogaz Ukrainy combines the largest oil and gas companies of the country. It has a monopoly over the transit and storage of natural gas in underground gas storage facilities, as well as oil transportation pipelines across Ukraine.
