Supreme Council of Crimea passes budget for 2014

The Supreme Council of Crimea has passed the budget for 2014.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that a total of 78 out of 85 lawmakers registered in the session hall supported the budget on Tuesday, January 21.

According to the document, total revenues of the Crimean budget were approved at UAH 5.378 billion. Revenue of the general fund is set at UAH 5.032 billion and the special fund – UAH 345.891 million, including UAH 69.887 million for the budget of development.

Total expenses of the Crimean budget was approved in the sum of UAH 5.253 billion, including expenses of the general fund of UAH 4.917 billion and the special fund of UAH 336.224 million.

The surplus of the Crimean budget came to UAH 256.336 million, including the surplus of the general fund of UAH 123.336 million, which will be sent from the general fund to the budget of development of the special fund. The surplus of the special fund of UAH 133 million will be sent to pay the debt of Crimea.

The deficit of the Crimean budget amounts to UAH 132.786 million, including the deficit of the general fund of UAH 9.45 million. The source to cover the deficit is the clear balance of budget funds. The deficit of the special fund is UAH 123.336. The source to cover the deficit is the funds from the general fund.

The Supreme Council also approved the volume of inter-budget transfers worth UAH 3.104 billion, including the inter-budget transfers of the general fund of UAH 3.064 billion and the inter-budget transfers of the special fund of UAH 40.285 million.

Some UAH 247.32 million is foreseen for the realization of republican programs.

Crimean Prime Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov told reporters that the approved budget for 2014 not only retains, but it improves all standards of social protection mentioned in the budget of 2013.
