Ukraine plans to buy 2-2.5 bcm of gas from Russia in Aug - minister

Ukraine is planning to procure 2-2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Russia in August, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky told reporters.

"According to the plan, it's 2-2.5 billion cubic meters of gas. We plan to pump the entire amount into underground gas storage facilities," he said.

The procurement plan for the national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy was 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia in July.
