Ukraine inclined to joint gas transportation system use while retaining state ownership
Together with its Eastern and Western partners, Ukraine is working out a model for the joint use of the country's gas transportation system on condition it remain Ukrainian state property, Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boiko said.
"We now see that the most acceptable model from the standpoint of loading the gas-transport system is when the system itself remains state property," Boiko said. "And we invite partners to take part on conditions that envision the separation of the types of activities of Naftogaz," he said Tuesday at the annual Adam Smith Institute conference Ukrainian Energy Forum in Kyiv.
Boiko said that the model is the final stage of development.
