Tariff for gas transit via Ukraine in 2013 to be some $3.10 per 1,000 cu per 100 km, says offering memo

Ukraine forecasts that the tariff for Russian gas transit via Ukraine will be $3.10 per 1,000 cubic meters per 100 kilometers in 2013, reads a prospectus on the issue of eurobonds by Ukraine.

According to the document, in the first quarter of 2012, the transit rate totaled $3.08, in April-May 2012 it grew to $3.11, and in June-December 2012 it rose to $3.12.

As reported, gas transit via Ukraine in 2012 fell by 19.1% or by 19.937 billion cubic meters (bcm), year-over-year, to 84.261 bcm.

According to the agreement signed by Naftogaz Ukrainy and Gazprom in 2009, the transit rate is calculated depending on the price of gas.

The average price of gas bought by Ukraine in Russia in 2012 came to $424.50 per 1,000 cubic meters.
