Advancement of up to 2 km in depth of enemy defense recorded in Berdiansk direction – Shershen

Advancement of up to 2 kilometers in depth of the enemy defense was recorded in Berdiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders are gaining a foothold in the seized positions, Spokesperson for the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces Valeriy Shershen has said.

"In Tavria direction, the defense forces systemically knock the enemy out from its positions and continue to move forward. So, in Berdiansk direction, the greatest advance into the depth of the enemy's defense up to 2 kilometers was recorded. We are gaining a foothold on the achieved lines, conducting aerial reconnaissance of the area, strike with artillery at the identified enemy targets, counter-battery combat and mine clearance are carried out," he said in a video address on the Facebook page of the press center on Tuesday.

Shershen stressed that the enemy fiercely resists, however the Ukrainian fighters are systemically putting pressure on front sections and mercilessly destroying the combat potential of the occupation forces.

According to him, 72 occupiers were liquidated and 166 wounded in the past 24 hours.
