Morning attack by Russians in Donbas rebuffed, contact line restored - Poroshenko

 Ukrainian troops have repulsed a morning five-hour attack by enemy forces near the village of Zholobok (Slovianoserbsk district, Luhansk region), in which four servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed, and have restored the contact line and stability, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"From a report by General [Serhiy] Nayev, commander of the Joint Forces, which has just been announced: the situation, stability has been restored, the Ukrainian land is protected, and the people of Ukraine can firmly rely on the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Poroshenko said in Kyiv on Thursday, while opening an exhibition of modern weapons and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations.
