One soldier wounded in 30 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas over past day
Militants have continued to violate the ceasefire established in Donbas since July 1 for the time of the harvest (the so-called "bread truce"), firing 30 times at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and wounding one serviceman, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.
"The enemy fired at our positions 30 times, using once a weapon banned by the Minsk agreements. The Joint Forces units steadily hold their positions, steadfastly observe the ceasefire and do not succumb to provocations by the enemy [...] There are no losses among Ukraine's defenders today [...] One soldier of the Joint Forces was wounded by a sniper near Krasnohorivka," reads a report published on the Facebook page of the JFO press center on Saturday.
During the current day illegal armed groups opened fire on Ukrainian positions twice. Provocations with the use of small arms were recorded in the Luhansk and Mariupol sectors. Ukrainian positions came under fire near Novy Aidar and Shyrokyne.
According to the updated data of Ukrainian intelligence, two militants were killed over the past day as a result of the counter-sniper struggle.
