Foreign countries help Ukraine in implementation of telemedicine – Poroshenko

Foreign countries help Ukraine in carrying out the implementation of the telemedicine program, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"Computer programs that will provide telemedicine to us will come from Canada. The German experience will be used so that we do not repeat the mistakes that have been made around the world. Croatia provided us with specialists who will introduce this system," Poroshenko said at the opening of an innovative primary health center in the village of Bodenky of Vyshgorodsky district of Kyiv region on Tuesday.

Also, according to the president, the World Bank funds were also involved in the project of telemedicine.

Poroshenko noted that the new building of the primary health center is energy-saving.

"This building is 15 times more money-saving in terms of energy consumption than a typical house. And if we had all such buildings, we would not need any Russian gas or oil consumption. And I am confident that we are now moving along the right way," the president of Ukraine said.

According to French Ambassador to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont, the building was built according to the design of the French architect.

The construction was carried out according to the "Passive House" standard, which implies not only the building of a paramedic-midwife point, but also official housing located a few meters from the medical station.
