National Reform Council to consider bill on business deregulation this week - Poroshenko

The National Reform Council will consider a draft law on business deregulation in Ukraine on Friday, October 27, President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"At a National Reform Council meeting, tentatively on Friday, we will consider a large-scale project on deregulation, which will be another step towards improving the investment climate in our state and our positions for investors in the Doing Business rating. So the pace is quite good, and the request for each of you is not to slow this pace," he said at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv on Tuesday.

As reported, bill No. 6489, which will help reduce administrative pressure on small and medium-sized businesses, was registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

"Bill No. 6489 is designed to solve the problem of numerous inspections on entrepreneurs by controlling bodies and is aimed at deregulation of small and medium-sized businesses," Oleksiy Poroshenko, an MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, said in May this year, while presenting the bill.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said in September that law enforcers would refrain from forcible operations at enterprises. According to him, by the end of the year the Ukrainian parliament will host a day of deregulation, when people's deputies will consider "the necessary laws that address the pressing issues of entrepreneurs."
