Klimkin meets with foreign ministers of Denmark and Kazakhstan in NYC
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has met with the his counterparts from Kazakhstan and Denmark on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in the United States and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and these countries.
Klimkin and Foreign Minister of Denmark Kristian Jensen have discussed the interaction in the context of the entry into force of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and the provision of the visa-free regime with the EU, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.
"During the meeting, the ministers discussed Denmark's practical support of the reforms in Ukraine, in particular the fight against corruption, as well as the attraction of Danish investments in Ukraine and other issues on the bilateral agenda," the ministry said.
With Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Idrisov, Klimkin discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation as one of the priority areas of relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The Foreign Ministry said that one of the priorities for the further development of the Ukrainian-Kazakh cooperation is to increase the transportation capacity, including through the use of the Trans-Caspian corridor.
Klimkin and Idrisov also discussed Russian aggression against Ukraine.
