Poroshenko stresses need to develop economic relations with Poland
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski at a meeting in Kyiv have discussed the prospects of development of economic relations between the two countries and the upcoming signing of an agreement on cooperation in the defense sector.
"There is no alternative to a strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland," the president's press service quoted Poroshenko as saying.
Meanwhile, he emphasized the need to develop economic relations between Ukraine and Poland, in particular in the energy sector.
The two officials noted the importance of signing as soon as possible the bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of defense, as well as the continuation of cooperation through the Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation of Poroshenko's official visit to Poland in December 2016.
