Poroshenko sees no progress in Donbas settlement in 2016

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said there has been no progress in the settlement of the armed conflict in Donbas since the start of 2016.

"Regrettably, so far this year, and in the recent two weeks in particular, the progress on Donbas is almost zero-point. To the contrary, there has been an escalation of the operational situation," Poroshenko told a press conference in Kyiv on Friday, when asked about the situation in Donbas and prospects of the local elections.
