Presidential couple visits volunteer Yana Zinkevych in Israeli hospital

In the course of the state visit to Israel, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna Poroshenko visited Ukrainian volunteer, commander of the Hospitallers medical battalion Yana Zinkevych, who had been heavily injured in the car accident and delivered to the Israeli hospital.

The presidential couple presented sanctified icons of Saint Pantaleon and Guardian-Angel to Yana, the president's press service reported.

The president told the volunteer that according to the doctors, a process of her recovery running good.

Poroshenko also noted that he was monitoring the activity of the Hospitallers for a long time already. "I am proud to be the leader of the country with such young people," the head of state added.

In her turn, Yana Zinkevych thanked the President for the award and asked him to pay attention to all patriots wounded on the frontline, as well as to the families of the fallen heroes.

The Ukrainian president awarded Zinkevych with the Order 'For Merit' of the III degree for her diligent heroic work as a medical volunteer on the frontline.

Early on November 5, the car of Hospitallers with volunteer Zinkevych in fell down off the road on the slippery road and turned over for several times.

The girl rushed out the car. She was sent to the hospital in a grave condition.

On December 17, she was successfully operated.
