The number of people who died after the Ivolga boat sank near the village of Zatoka, Odesa region, has risen to 17.

Another dead passenger was found in Zatoka on Wednesday morning, head of the Interior Ministry branch in Odesa region Andriy Kostiuk told Interfax-Ukraine.

Kostiuk didn't rule out the possibility that the death toll may still rise. According to him, the boat, which recently was lifted from the water is being examined at Illichivsk port. There is a chance that there may be other bodies inside the boat, he said.

On October 17, the leisure boat Ivolga capsized in the Black Sea near the town of Belhorod-Dnistrovsky, Odesa region. A total of 22 people were rescued. Fourteen people were reported dead at the time. Two more bodies were found on the boat, when it was brought to the surface.
