NBU to take part in European Commission's conference call on gas purchases on Wednesday

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will on Wednesday participate in a European Commission conference call on the procurement of Ukrainian gas on Wednesday, NBU Governor Valeriya Gontareva has said.

"At six o'clock, I am heading for a conference call with the European Union, it will deal with the purchase of gas in our storage facilities in winter season," she said at a meeting of the parliament's financial committee in Kyiv on Wednesday.

As reported, on July 15, European Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic, who is responsible for energy issues, will meet with the heads of the following European gas companies: E.ON, ENGIE, OMV, PGNiG, RWE, ENI, SPP, and Statoil.
