Cabinet permits Naftogaz to select heads of largest oil, gas companies - MP
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has permitted the board of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy to select the heads of Ukrgazvydobuvannia, Ukrtransgaz, Ukrtransnafta and Ukrspetstransgaz without a tender (without agreeing the candidate with the energy and coal industry minister and the Cabinet of Ministers), according to MP Viktoria Voitsytska.
She said that the cabinet has amended resolution No. 777 of September 3, 2008.
"The cabinet made the following decision: Naftogaz will select the heads of the strategic state oil and gas companies - Ukrgazvydobuvannia, Ukrtransgaz, Ukrtransnafta. The Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Finance Ministry would have only a veto right," she wrote on her Facebook page.
As reported, draft amendments to resolution No. 777 also foresaw that the document is not suitable for the selection of heads for such companies as Ukrnafta and other companies with a state controlling stake.
