Rada calls on international organizations to condemn human rights violations in Crimea

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted an appeal to the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly concerning the violations of human rights and freedoms in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

A total of 302 lawmakers voted for the adoption of the decision on Tuesday.

In its appeal, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine calls on international organizations to strongly condemn the illegal nature of the actions of the Russian occupation authorities and the formation of its illegal governing agencies on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the violations of the rights and freedoms of Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars and other ethnic groups on the peninsula.
