Klimkin to fly to Japan for financial, humanitarian aid

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin is to visit Japan in early March to discuss, in particular, an increase in the amount of Tokyo's humanitarian and financial aid for Kyiv, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis has said.

"The Ukrainian foreign minister, Pavlo Klimkin, will pay a formal visit to Japan on March 1-3 … He is due to discuss a number of pressing issues concerning the Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation. In particular, an increase in the amount of Japan's humanitarian and financial aid for Ukraine, prospects for further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, further cooperation on energy and manufacturing, and cooperation in searching for possible ways to improve the Ukrainian municipal sector," the spokesperson said at a briefing in Kyiv.
