Tymoshenko vows to prevent disruption of Ukrainian elections
A Ukrainian presidential candidate and the leader of the Batkivschyna Party, Yulia Tymoshenko, has said she will do all she can to prevent a disruption of the May 25 presidential election in Ukraine.
"I believe no one will disrupt the presidential election. I will try as much as I can to take all the steps that will not allow the Ukrainian election to be disrupted," she said at a meeting with representatives from the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations in Kyiv on Thursday.
"How they (the elections) pass is a matter for the Ukrainian people, and that is God's will. Whoever wins will have great responsibilities before Ukraine to restore justice in our country so that people can feel it, to rid the country of corruption, and most importantly, return peace to Ukraine and return Crimea to Ukraine. And give people hope," Tymoshenko said.
