Crimean parliament urges Verkhovna Rada not to be pressured by opposition
The presidium of the Crimean Supreme Council has sent an address to Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak, in which it says that the Verkhovna Rada should take steps to stabilize the political situation in the country and prevent the adoption of decisions under pressure from the opposition regarding a vote of no-confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers.
"The presidium of the Crimean Supreme Council assesses the current situation in Ukraine as explosive. The activity of destructive forces puts the functioning of the country's control and life support system under the threat of disruption. First and foremost, this concerns Kyiv, but this cannot but have a negative effect on the Ukrainian regions as well. Further developments on a destructive path could have devastating consequences for the entire country, its economy, welfare and safety of Ukrainian citizens," reads the document adopted by the Crimean parliament on Tuesday.
