Yanukovych vows to investigate use of force by Ukrainian police against peaceful protesters

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has promised European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso to investigate into the use of force by the Ukrainian police against peaceful protesters.

Yanukovych said this in a phone conversation with Barroso, the European Commission said on Monday.
