EU, Poland ready to help Ukraine become European success, says Polish foreign minister
Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski says that the European Union and Poland are ready to help Ukraine implement the Association Agreement with the EU and become a European success.
"The EU and Poland are ready to help you in making your country into a competitive, law-based, European success," he wrote on his Twitter page, addressing Ukrainians.
He also says that the EU and Poland "can help Ukraine implement the Association Agreement and carry out reforms, including fighting corruption, but leadership from the top is needed," he said.
Sikorski also expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
His Lithuanian counterpart Linas Linkevicius wrote on his Twitter page that the "Maidan [a protest rally on Kyiv's Independence Square] turns into a massive pro-European movement, wishing [to become part of] Europe sooner than later."
"[It's] important to avoid violence," he wrote.
