Yanukovych to visit Wisla on July 3, says Ukrainian president's press service
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will make a working visit to Wisla (Poland) at the invitation of his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, the press service of the Ukrainian president has said on Monday.
The Ukrainian head of state will participate in a meeting of the Visegrad Group (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) presidents on the occasion of the completion of Poland's chairmanship of the group.
According to the press service, the presidents will pay special attention to Ukraine's aspiration towards European integration and the preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU.
The agenda of the summit also includes Ukraine's active participation in joint events with the Visegrad Group aimed at intensification of cooperation between the countries of the region in various spheres.
As reported, a meeting of presidents of Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia took place at the summit of Heads of State of Central and Eastern Europe in June. At the meeting, Komorowski invited Yanukovych to visit Wisla in early July and the Ukrainian president accepted the invitation.
