Cox, Kwasniewski to meet with Tymoshenko on June 28, says source
The heads of the European Parliament's monitoring mission, former president of the European Parliament Pat Cox and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, will meet with former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko in Central Clinical Hospital No.5 in Kharkiv on Friday, June 28, an informed source told Interfax-Ukraine.
The agency hasn't yet received an official confirmation of this information.
EU Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Tombinski earlier said that Cox and Kwasniewski will come to Ukraine on June 26-28.
As reported, the European Parliament mission to Ukraine headed by Cox and Kwasniewski started monitoring court proceedings involving former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko on June 11, 2012 under an agreement between Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and European Parliament President Martin Schulz.
Their mandate was subsequently expanded to include the court proceedings involving Ukraine's former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and former Acting Defense Minister Valeriy Ivaschenko.
