Defense lawyer: German doctors responsible for Tymoshenko's condition
Doctors from Germany's Charite Hospital are responsible for the treatment and condition of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, the ex-premier's defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, has said live on Channel 5.
"In this regard, there is a statement made by Health Minister [Raisa] Bohatyriova in 2012 that all responsibility for Tymoshenko's treatment rests with German doctors," he said.
Vlasenko also said that people cannot be treated in Ukraine by force and that Tymoshenko does not need any mediators in her communication with German doctors.
"I emphasize again that people cannot be treated in Ukraine by force. Yulia Tymoshenko as a patient has doctors, and these are doctors from German clinic Charite, and she doesn't need any mediators in her communication with the doctors," he said.
