Tymoshenko won't be taken to court, as interrogation of witness cancelled, says prison service
Kyiv Court of Appeals has informed the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine that the interrogation of a witness on the criminal case on the murder of Ukrainian parliamentarian Yevhen Scherban scheduled for Tuesday, February 19, had been cancelled, as the witness is unable to attend the court hearing due to an illness, according to the press service of the State Penitentiary Service.
The prison service has told informed about this jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
"In connection with this, there is no need to transport Tymoshenko [from Kharkiv to Kyiv]," reads the service's statement.
Earlier, Tymoshenko submitted to the prison administration a document confirming her intention to participate in the court hearing on February 19 at Kyiv Court of Appeals.
