The investigating judge of Pechersky District Court of Kyiv, Oksana Tsarevych, has finished questioning Ihor Maryinkov, a witness in a case against former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is suspected of organizing the murder of MP Yevhen Scherban in 1996.

The witness was answering the questions of prosecutors and Tymoshenko's defense lawyers from 1000 on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent said.

Meanwhile, the first deputy chief of the department of the Prosecutor General's Office for high profile cases, Oleh Pushkar, said that several other witnesses would be questioned in the Scherban case, and the first of them may be questioned as soon as February 15.

He refused to name the witnesses before they are called to court.
