Ukrainian officials, opposition figures to speak at Davos Ukrainian Lunch

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne will hold the 9th Davos Ukrainian Lunch entitled "Ukraine: East or West – The Wrong Dilemma?' organized on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum on Friday, January 25, 2013 in Davos (Switzerland).

The foundation's press release reads that the following issues will be discussed during an interactive panel discussion: further development of Ukraine's relations with its neighbors, the EU and the Customs Union; the Ukrainian and European leaders' vision of Ukraine's future; and further steps of the newly appointed government and the newly elected parliament.

Among the speakers at a conference during the lunch will be Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Yuriy Boiko, Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara, Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov, President of ESADE Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics Javier Solana, Leader of the Batkivschyna parliamentary faction, MP Arseniy Yatseniuk, Leader of the UDAR parliamentary faction, MP Vitali Klitschko, and others.

The list of the event's guests of honor who will give speeches includes Chairman of the Management Board & CEO of Sberbank Herman Gref, and Ukrainian MP Petro Poroshenko. In addition, Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council (GAC) on Ukraine Lord Risby will present the views of the GAC.

On January 24, in Davos the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will be holding its 6th Davos Philanthropic Roundtable "RevolutiOnline.edu - Online Education Changing the World" on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The panel will bring together The New York Times Foreign Affairs columnist Thomas Friedman, Co-Chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Bill Gates, MIT President Rafael Reif, Harvard University President Emeritus Larry Summers, Coursera Co-Founder and Co-CEO Daphne Koller, Udacity Founder Sebastian Thrun, Founders Fund Partner Peter Thiel, Khan Academy Founder Salman Khan (by TV link), and Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales.

Speakers and participants will discuss the strategies that philanthropists are using to expand and accelerate online education to give millions of people access to high-level education and the chance for a better life.
