New York court throws out lawsuit seeking to recover $18.3 million from Tymoshenko - media

A New York district court has granted a plea by Yulia Tymoshenko's attorney to throw out a lawsuit seeking to recover $18.3 million from the former Ukrainian PM.

The lawsuit was filed by Universal Trading & Investment Co. (UTICo) on December 12.

The company sued Tymoshenko for an $18.3 million debt to the Unified Energy Systems of Ukraine.

UTICo provides investment consulting, brokerage and debt recovery services.
