Tymoshenko asking for meeting with EU ambassador, her allies, says defense lawyer
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko intends to meet with her allies on Thursday during a short visit by Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, the ex-premier's defense counsel, Serhiy Vlasenko, said.
Vlasenko noted that the last short meeting that Tymoshenko had was held on October 21 with leaders of the United Opposition – Oleksandr Turchynov, Arseniy Yatseniuk and Hryhoriy Nemyria. Since the ex-premier is entitled to a short meeting once a month, she has a right to have one on November 1.
"Today, Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] has applied for a short meeting... She invited to this meeting tomorrow European Union Ambassador Jan Tombinski, who asked for this meeting, as well as First Deputy Head of the Batkivschyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov, Head of the Council of the Batkivschyna United Opposition Arseniy Yatseniuk and Deputy Head of the Batkivschyna Party Hryhoriy Nemyria," Vlasenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
