Polling stations in Poland ready for Ukrainian parliamentary elections, says ambassador
Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland Markiyan Malsky has said that polling stations in Poland are ready to host Ukrainians for voting at the parliamentary elections due on October 28.
"The polling stations are completely equipped and have all of the necessary technical instruments. Ukrainians that live in Poland will be able to exercise their right [to vote]," the diplomat said at a meeting of a press club in Kyiv on Thursday.
He added that four polling stations would work in Poland.
While speaking on the number of Ukrainians that will vote in Poland, the lists of voters are yet to be formed, but the embassy expects that around 3,000-5,000 people will come to the polling stations.
The ambassador added that the upcoming elections are attracting the special attention of the Polish authorities, politicians, experts, and political scientists. According to him, Warsaw hopes that the parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be fair and transparent, and will open new opportunities for Ukraine for signing the Association Agreement with the EU.
