Innovation is our chance to win the world – Dpty PM Fedorov
The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov states the need to scale the Brave1 model into the civilian sphere in the future.
"Over the past three years, Ukraine has proven: innovation is not a theory, it is our weapon, our defense and our chance to win the world," Fedorov said at an event dedicated to World Science Day on Wednesday in Kyiv.
He emphasized that from defense technologies to artificial intelligence, Ukraine is creating solutions that change the "battlefield" and transform the economy.
Fedorov recalled that today there are 1,500 Defense Tech companies operating in Ukraine, and the Brave1 cluster has united over 3,600 solutions: from drones to data analysis systems.
"Our next challenge is to scale this model into the civilian sphere. So that the same teams that create technologies for the frontline create products for the economy, medicine, education and sustainable development tomorrow," he added.
As reported, in September Fedorov announced that the first seven universities had joined the Brave1 cluster, cooperation with which involves holding joint events aimed at developing technologies, in particular hackathons, supporting universities in developing innovative solutions in the field of defense, and involving scientists in consulting developers.
