Russia seizes 2 villages near Hulyaipole, push toward Pokrovsk as controlled territory expands by record 40 sq km
Russia has captured the villages of Nove and Novouspenivske of the Hulyaipole community of the Polohivsky district of the Zaporizhia region northeast of Hulyaipole, and have also advanced in the urban development of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, reports the OSINT project DeepState.
The occupiers have also advanced in the area of the village of Chunyshyne, neighboring Pokrovsk, as well as near the villages of Solodke, Rivnopillia and Yablukove located near the captured Novy and Novouspenivske. There is no talk of taking control of other settlements.
"The enemy occupied Nove and Novouspenivske, and also advanced in Pokrovsk, near Chynushyne, Solodke, Rivnopillya and Yablukove," the DeepState Telegram channel said on Wednesday.
On the project’s maps, Chunyshyne is shown as occupied, Rivnopillia and Yablukove are in the "gray zone," Solodke is partially occupied, partially in the "gray zone."
The area of occupation in the Hulyaipole direction increased by 27.48 sq km per day, while the "gray zone" decreased by 19.84 sq km, and in the Pokrovsk direction it increased by 12.58 sq km, while the "gray zone" decreased by 5.59 sq km. In contrast, the "gray zone" increased by 2.61 sq km in the Chasovy Yar direction, where the area of control of the occupiers did not increase. There are no changes in other sections of the front.
In general, according to DeepState, in a day the occupiers increased the area of control by 40.06 sq km, which is several times higher than the average rate of enemy advance in Ukraine in recent months and became the largest daily figure this year. The "gray zone" also decreased by a record 22.82 sq km.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in its November 11 report marked the villages of Nove and Novouspenivske in the "gray zone," but reported on the actions of the occupiers in Novouspenivske.
"Russian forces attacked northeast of Hulyaipol near Solodke, Uspenivka, Yablukove, Novouspenivske and Rivnopillia, as well as east of Hulyaipole near Vysokoye and Zeleny Hai on November 10 and 11… Order of battle: Units of the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of Russia are operating in Novouspenivske," the report says.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed Nove and Novouspenivske under the control of Ukrainian forces on maps before its report as of 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
According to DeepState, last week the occupiers increased the area of control by an average of 12.8 sq. km per day, which was 43% more than the year before, and the "gray zone" increased on average by 6.9 sq km per day.
