Power system continues to work stably with reserve of power – Minister of Energy

Ukraine's power system continues to work stably with a reserve of power, energy supply is limited due to gusts of wind in the central and western regions, Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko said.

"Generation fully provides for consumption, having a sufficient reserve of capacity for growing demand," Haluschenko said in a daily update of the Ministry of Energy on the Telegram channel.

At the same time, due to strong gusts of wind over the past 24 hours, power lines have been damaged in the central and western regions, especially in Khmelnytsky region, where 18,000 consumers have been de-energized.

"Power engineers are actively working and plan to restore power supply by the end of the day," the ministry said.

NPC Ukrenergo, for its part, reported that electricity consumption is at the level of Monday, there is no power shortage and it is not predicted now.

"All power plants operate in accordance with the commands of Ukrenergo dispatchers. The import of the resource is insignificant and is significantly reduced due to the stabilization of electricity supply in the country," the company noted on the Telegram channel.

At the same time, the company specified that the limits were not set for the regions, but warned that if the situation changes and there is a sharp increase in consumption, power outages are possible.

They also confirmed that due to adverse weather conditions there are power outages, but regional energy teams are already working to repair damage to their lines and restore power supply.

Grid restrictions remain in Odesa and Odesa region due to enemy attacks, Ukrenergo added.
