Ukrainians sell $65.2 mln more currency than buy in Dec

Ukrainians in December 2017 bought currency from banks for the equivalent of $736.5 million, while sold for $801.7 million, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on the website.

Net sales of cash currency by Ukrainians in December amounted to $65.2 million.

According to the report, in comparison with November of this year, the volume of forex purchases increased by 5.8%, sales increased by 8.9%.

The NBU said, in particular, Ukrainians last month bought U.S. dollars for $586.2 million, sold for $598.5 million.

In 2017, net sale of currency by Ukrainians reached $2.139 billion.
