NBU declares Sberbank's banking group invalid

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has declared invalid Sberbank's banking group, the NBU reported on its website.

According to its announcement, the regulator issued this decision on December 15.

The NBU registered the banking group of Sberbank on October 4, 2013. Then it included Sberbank, VS Bank and the Sberbank Leasing Ukraine company.

As reported, in mid-December, Sberbank Europe AG completed the transaction for the sale of 99.92% of VS Bank to the TAS group owned by Sergiy Tigipko.
