Some $300 mln dividends could be repatriated by late 2017

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) retains its forecast for repatriation of dividends in 2017 at $1.4 billion, and $1.1 billion of the sum has been repatriated today, Deputy NBU Governor Oleh Churiy has said.

He said that the repatriation of dividends traditionally influences the currency market via the increased demand on currency at the beginning of the month, as repatriation is restricted by $5 million a month, while this factor sharply weakens in the second half of the month.
