Ukrenergo records increase in number of participants in division of access to power for exports by 30% since early 2017
National energy company Ukrenergo has recorded an increase in the number of companies registered to participate in auctions to distribute access to electricity for exports by 30% since early 2017, Director for Markets Development and Clients Servicing Andriy Nemyrovsky said at a roundtable in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"A total of 24 participants have been registered in the platform [the electronic platform through which power is distributed]. Their number has grown by 30% since January 1… After the launch of daily auctions three more participants joined them," he said.
Nemyrovsky said that on average up to 9-10 participants take part in each daily auction.
Ukrenergo operates trunk and interstate power grids, as well as performs the centralized dispatching of the united energy system in the country. The company is a state-owned enterprise, it is subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
