EBRD governors considered bank's rules when freezing Russian projects

The vast majority of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) board of governors agreed at a meeting on Wednesday that the bank followed its own rules in interactions with Russia, the bank's head Suma Chakrabarti said at a press conference.

In mid-2014 the EBRD froze new projects in Russia for political reasons and Russia believes that this decision was a violation of the bank's rules.
