Kharkiv entrepreneurs qualify for EUR 40 mln of soft loans from Europe
Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svetlychna and EU Ambassador to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli have opened for assistance to small and medium enterprises in Kharkiv, created with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction Development (EBRD).
There is a preliminary agreement for the issue of EUR 40 million credit lines for Kharkiv businessmen.
"We provide advice on decentralization so that Kharkiv region could get maximum benefit from this reform. We also try to develop close partnership between research centers and universities in Kharkiv region and the European Union," the ambassador said at a meeting with Svetlychna.
According to Svetlychna, the EBRD office will provide services for lending to small, medium and large businesses.
"From now on, businesses will be able to directly cooperate with European financial institutions directly in Kharkiv. There is a preliminary agreement on a credit line of EUR 40 million," she said.
