Ukrenergo sees 9.5% fall in power transmission in 10 months

National energy company Ukrenergo in January through October 2016 cut electricity transmission through the country's backbone and interstate power grids by 9.5%, or by 9.448 billion kWh, to 90.293 billion kWh, the company's press service has reported.

Over the period under review, the company's revenue from electricity transmission services grew by 33%, or by UAH 1.368 billion, to UAH 5.511 billion.

According to the report, in January through October 2016 the company increased capital investment by 27.7%, or by UAH 769.22 million, to UAH 3.549 billion.

The company's total expenditure grew by 12%, or by UAH 222.12 million, to UAH 2.072 billion, in particular repair costs rose by 26.7%, or by UAH 34.9 million, to UAH 165.48 million.

As reported, Ukrenergo in 2015 reduced transmission of electricity through main networks by 7.5%, or by 9.747 billion kWh, compared to 2014, to 120.094 billion kWh. The cost of services for power transmission increased by 73%, or by UAH 2.248 billion, over the previous year, to UAH 5.327 billion.
