Poroshenko counts on bolstering of Ukraine-U.S. military cooperation

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has indicated fruitful cooperation with the United States in bolstering Ukraine's defense capacities and has said he hopes it will be further strengthened.

"We have noted the importance of our cooperation in bolstering defense capacities of our state. The U.S. assistance to the reform of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, deliveries of equipment and hardware, and joint exercises and practices are an important stage of building efficient cooperation and coordination in the field of defense. I am sure that this cooperation will only grow in the future," he said at a joint press briefing with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Kyiv on Thursday.
