DTEK posts UAH 7.6 bln in net loss in 1Q 2016
Ukraine's largest vertically integrated energy holding DTEK posted UAH 7.614 billion in net loss in January-March 2016, the company said on its website.
Financial indicators for the same period of 2015 are not available for comparison, as DTEK did not publish quarterly reports earlier.
The energy holding's revenue in the first quarter of 2016 amounted to UAH 31.669 billion, EBITDA was UAH 2.176 billion.
DTEK's total debt by the end of the reporting period was UAH 71.386 billion.
DTEK was established in 2005 to manage the energy assets of the System Capital Management group, owned by businessman Rinat Akhmetov. DTEK is a vertically integrated company involved in the production and enrichment of coal, and the generation and sale of electricity.
DTEK Energy's net consolidated loss in 2015 was UAH 37.399 billion, which was 90.3% up on loss posted in 2014. The group's revenue grew by 1.8%, to UAH 93.622 billion, EBITDA declined by 66%, to UAH 4.087 billion.
