SPF to postpone privatization of regional power supply companies for Oct-Dec

Ukraine's State Property Fund (SPF) intends to postpone the terms of privatization of regional power supply companies for October-December 2016, SPF Head Ihor Bilous has said.

"The terms of selling regional power supply companies will be changed. SPF has started drawing up the orders to postpone the privatization of these facilities for the end of the year – October-December. Our advisor Deloitte has made this proposal… Members of a working for privatization under auspices of the Cabinet of Ministers (EBRD, USAID, IFC, IMF) supported the proposal. The fund agrees with their arguments, as we need to warm up the investment interest to regional power supply companies and combined head and power plants," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Bilous said that the advisor will hold an international energy conference in Kyiv in June and potential buyers of regional power supply companies will be invited to the conference.
